We are looking for: Virtual Simulation Specialist

In this role, the candidate will need passion and dynamic teamwork to develop simulation software that can test and validate virtual driving over millions of kilometers. This simulation environment also needs to provide synthetic training data for our AI algorithms and to do so agile teams develop uncompromising autonomous driving simulations based on state-of-the-art games engines.
The candidate will support our software engineers in building algorithms and infrastructure for testing, validation and evaluation at all levels of the autonomous vehiclès architecture - and take responsibility for their safety.

In the daily work, the candidate will operate in an international and interdisciplinary environment and collaborate intensively with our high-tech industry partners.

Availability to move abroad for short/medium periods depending on international project needs.

Essential skills and experiences:

Expert knowledge of Linux Systems
Advanced software development skills in C (14), C (.NET 4.5) and Python
Expertise in developing realistic virtual environments using game engine technology (e.g. Unity and Unreal)
A proven track record in agile software testing, test-driven development, continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins) and testing infrastructure (e.g. SIL and HIL)
Good knowledge of operating system virtualisation (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)
Experience with modeling and simulation of traffic systems
Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) would be a plus
Experience in working according to agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, LeSS)

Education:

A university degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
