Our client is a beverage multi-national company based in Italy that produces and distributes its products in over 190 countries around the world.

Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa Business Unit, based in Milan HQ, comprises the commercial responsibility over all markets falling within the Region composed by Italy, Spain, South Africa and Partnership Markets.

With the aim of strengthening the BU structure, we are looking for a:


Key Activities & Responsibilities

·Develops and implements brand strategies and plans for the assigned brands

·Works closely with Area Managers and distributors Marketing and Customer Marketing teams to plan and execute ATL and BTL activities in the different channels (on Trade off trade, e-commerce);

·Develops regional marketing toolkits through a brand building comprehensive approach (annual marketing plan) based on market and consumer needs, and local toolkits in collaboration with third party distributors;

·Drives development and execution of limited editions, promotions (e.g. Value Added Pack) and POS material from concept design to market execution, liaising with Global Strategic Marketing, external agencies, Commercial team and Logistics & Customer Service;

·Liaises with Global Strategic Marketing to acknowledge and apply global guidelines for the assigned brands (e.g. global positioning, global communication platform, new products developments/new packaging/line extensions)

·Shares best practices across different markets (marketing tool kits etc&)

·Develops training and instructs distributors and point of sales staff on key brand attributes and promotional execution (Selling story and picture of success)

·Implement strategy and plan according to the BU guidelines for the Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa Business Unit

·Monitors the competitive landscape in the categories and develops strategies which exploit in-market opportunities

Key Relationships

·Internal: Marketing Director, Area Managers, Brand Managers, Customer Marketing Manager & Specialist, Global Strategic Marketing team, Global Strategic Capabilities, Distribution Partners Commercial & Marketing Teams, Sales Support team; Global Brand PR, Media Planning, Consumer Insights & Research, Legal, Innovation Team and Procurement.

·External: Advertising, Media, Digital, CRM & Market Research Agencies

Experience & Education

·Minimum a 4-year experience of brand marketing

·Relevant experience in FMCG is a must, experience in Beverage industry is a strong plus

·Premium brands development in a structured multinational context (incl. being exposed to different marketing roles: global / regional / local / trade marketing etc&)

·University degree

Fluency in English language is a must.

·Brand Management with experience in ATL and BTL

·Trade Marketing Capabilities in on and off trade channels

·Consumer understanding and Market research techniques

·Brand profitability & financials acumen

·Master of social media & the ever changing digital landscape

·New Product Development

Job location: Milan ( travel time 40% of the time )
